Let’s talk saving the planet while doing interrail shall we?
So I chose to take the train (trains – many of them) home because a) I wanna see places b) interrail is a hell of a lot of fun (most of the time) and c) flying ain’t great for the planet and if Greta can take a flipping boat to New York I can take a train home.
While in Valencia I got a valenbisi card that would allow me to rent a bike at one of the quadrillion stations that are spread all over town. I’m sure you’re familiar with the concept. If not – what’s wrong with you? Have you been living under a rock – on Mars? Are you one of them little bear thingies that live there now and will most likely take over the universe? Anyway. Bikes. Rent them, ride them, save the planet.
I have 2 memories I made thanks to those bikes. The first one is of me and my friend taking a bike at 6:45 in the morning to drive to the beach and watch the sunrise. It was absolutely stunning!! There was almost nobody there and all you could hear was the sound of the waves. Second memory is me seeing a puddle on the road, thinking “don’t go through that you’re going to fall”, my body ignoring my thoughts, going through it and, well, me falling off my bike. After that incident I became a fan of walking everywhere while listening to good music. #savingtheworldthankstospotify
Here are pictures of me walking:
Just don’t put your fruit into plastic bags. You should really wash them anyway before eating them. Oh and don’t forget to bring your reusable bag. Just buy one (or 2 (I have 3 – I match them to my outfit (kidding))) (we never had a triple parenthesis I think!) that looks cool (like mine) you don’t even wanna use an ugly plastic one then! (How cool is my giant Lidl bag?)
Anti smell and greasy hair
Now I think the title explains the next products pretty well. It’s about shampoo and deodorant. I got my (incredibly good smelling) shampoo bar at lush. I not only like the no plastic part about it but also 1. the cool box, 2. the smell, 3. how long it lasts and 4. the size and weight. Sure it’s somewhat more pricey but have you read the previous sentence?
The deodorant is from a german drug store, it cames in a glass jar, you dip your finger in it and smear it under your arms. Easy peasy. (Gonna copy paste for a second): I not only like the no plastic part about it but also 1. the cool box, 2. the smell, 3. how long it lasts and 4. the size and weight. Sure it’s somewhat more pricey but have you read the previous sentence?
my favorit thing in the world
is eating. And I discovered that as much as I like eating out I actually prefer eating out…side. Like I love going to a cafe in the morning and ordering a toast with peanut butter and banana and a good coffee BUT what I like even better is getting stuff from the store, sitting on a bench and eating my breakfast/ lunch/ dinner WITH MY REUSABLE CUTLERY!! Only cost me 2€ (decathlon for the win) and I look like a cool backpacker (at least I think I do).
Also: Tupperware! Put homemade food in it, put the box in your bag, get hungry, pull out your chic box and enjoy! (I mean would you look at how happy I am – and it only was a stupid salad without dressing!!)
And lastly, don’t forget your bottle. Mine’s great mine’s a 500ml s’well bottle mine keeps hot drinks hot and cold drinks cold.
